AeroCare to Expand Footprint in Eastern New Mexico
Trusted Air Ambulance Service Will Open Base in Hobbs in Late Spring
(HOBBS, New Mexico) – AeroCare officials recently announced the company has been awarded the preferred provider air ambulance agreement for Covenant Health Hobbs Hospital. AeroCare has provided the highest level of critical care transport in Eastern New Mexico and West Texas for more than 30 years.
AeroCare will open a new base, its ninth in the region, on the hospital campus and begin service in early June. The company will maintain a 24-hour presence at the base and utilize a Bell 407GXi helicopter, equipped with state-of-the-art features to enhance safety and patient care.
“AeroCare has a long history of service in Eastern New Mexico,” said Sonny Geary, GMR Vice President of Operations for Texas, Oklahoma and Eastern New Mexico. “We are proud to expand our partnership with Covenant Health to ensure patients from Hobbs and the surrounding communities have access to safe, high-quality air ambulance service at a moment’s notice.”
“We are excited to partner with AeroCare and be a part of their expanding presence in this region. We are glad to have high quality partners in caring for our families and friends in the community,” said Dan Springer, Chief Executive Officer of Covenant Health Hobbs Hospital.
AeroCare operates air medical bases in Clovis and Lovington, New Mexico; and in Lubbock, Odessa, Seminole, Fort Stockton, and Plainview, Texas. It also provides non-emergency ground ambulance service in Odessa. The company, which is part of the Global Medical Response family of companies, is currently recruiting critical care nurses, flight paramedics and experienced rotor-wing pilots to join the Hobbs team.
